Application and function
Seal glands and packing glands help locate, retain or compress sealing arrangements according to the customer's pump design. Lantern rings / seal cages are reviewed as drawing-defined stuffing-box or packing-area components used for flushing or lubrication arrangements. RF Machining reviews bolt patterns, faces, fits, threads and material requirements from drawings or samples.

No. RF Machining supplies machined seal gland, packing gland and related gland components according to customer drawings, not complete mechanical seal assemblies.
Can RF Machining manufacture pump lantern rings or seal cages?
Yes. Lantern rings / seal cages can be quoted when the drawing defines material, bore, OD, hole pattern, width and the stuffing-box or packing-area context. They are supplied as machined components, not as complete packing sets.
Can you machine a mechanical seal gland from a drawing?
Yes. The drawing should show bolt-hole positions, register fits, bore dimensions, sealing faces, threads, material and inspection requirements.
Can surface treatment be arranged for gland components?
Surface treatment can be arranged through partner processes when the drawing or RFQ specifies the requirement.
